still don't know how I feel about this novice division... anyone else?

I think the novice division is great for teams that aren't as skilled and advanced as other teams such as Morse, Carson, and CI.
However, it would get annoying when teams in the novice divisions get bragging rights without even trying too hard.

Recaps?? What were the routines like? Did Channel have a Advantage over Narbonne? Or does Narbonne have a chance at nationals.

Videos should surface slowly. Glendora's is already up, I'm just waiting for Morse and CI's videos to go up. I've seen CI's routine for their homecoming performance, but surely their routine was improved. Why is short flags coverage nonexistent? I've seen CI supporters ask for their videos to be taken down, but I don't see the point? Is it because they don't want other teams to compare their routines to theirs and improve their routine before nationals? Because over the past few years that hasn't worked. CI squads have fallen from the top to 3rd place placements and below in nationals. People want to watch your routines, don't be too strict. Short flags is a growing community, but how can it expand when newer videos aren't even being uploaded, especially from the top teams.

Morse Flags have the cutest theme for their one-flag routine!

Just keep checking the account of the youtube user Renfx. Like the person said above, the Glendora regionals video is already up. He's most likely going to upload the videos daily (Mon-Fri only), one by one from each team!

seems like LBP isn't competing this year. I understand that they have a team, but maybe no coaches?

Anymore videos?

I saw pictures of Morse's new uniforms!
Does anyone know if they changed their flags as well? I don't think the gold strip they have on their flags would go well with their dark blue uniforms. It went really well with their old uniforms since it was mainly white.

Morse has the same flags as last year

Morse's 1 flag is up!
I don't know what to say, to be honest.
Their theme this year is really cute, but it seemed short for some reason. It left me wanting more.
I also understand that the whole team is consisted of first years so they may not be as sharp and experienced performing, which is probably why I was underwhelmed. On top of that, the new team must be under a lot of pressure to maintain their winning streak.

Nonetheless, great job Morse! Can't wait to see your 2 flag routine.

morse prob just didnt finish their whole one flag in time by regionals. like last year at classics, they had a short routine but it was longer by nationals. they did great for being all newbies!

That's true. They probably might add in another song, and finishing mixing the music so the transition to the next song flows really well together. Their 1 flag from last year was really flawless and fierce! It's nice to see the "cute" side of Morse again this year. Two more months left until Nationals, plenty of time to improve.

Anyone know why Carson didn't compete?

Morse gon' come back at Nationals like...SuRpRiiiiiiSe MuFuuucKaaa

I have a feeling Morse will change their 1 flag routine. Their current routine is great, but it doesn't scream National Champions; it just seems like they needed to come up with a routine to qualify for Nationals. CI is their biggest contender this year, and CI has improved a lot compared to 2014 and 2015. Narbonne could also be one of the spoilers.
This isn't the first time a team changed their routine for Nationals. Morse had a completely different 1 flag routine in 2010, and CI in 2014, so I won't be surprised if they do.

Like I've said, does any team like to share how they get their custom flags? I'm trying to start a pep flags team at my school and I really don't know how to contact the owner of the blog

Honestly the best way to do it is to just sew them yourself. A lot of people do. Just get whatever color ripstop nylon you want and look for someone with sewing experience to get you started. Start easy with a single color. Then do half and half. After that you can start playing around with any design and colors you want for your school. Doing it youself is much cheaper and a lot more self rewarding in the end. In terms of the actual poles I know the website starlinebaton sell them. They also sell flags to go with their poles, but again doing it yourself makes it way easier and cheaper in the future for when you want a lot of flags done. Just make sure you get the right dimmensions of the poles and make sure to add an inch or so at the edges being sewed so in the end they fit just right. Good luck!

If making them yourself is not an option, you would have to look around and find a local seamstress that can do them for you. There is a big chance they have no idea what a pepflag is, but if you show them pictures and give them dimensions, they can probably figure out how to make them no problem. The more complex the design, the more they will charge.

Like the poster above stated, making them is the cheapest option, especially if you're just looking into making solid color flags. When I make solid color flags, about 2/3 yard (24 inches) of nylon and 6 inches of velcro is enough to make a pair of flags. So cost of materials will be less than $8. I would recommend buying more fabric than that if you need some sewing practice. But once you get through sewing your first flag, making them will be cake.
