I think it's funny how all of you are talking about Camarillo like they don't have the potential to be a huge threat to all of you. Sure, they sucked this season. They were super messy, not clean at all, facials were horrible, timing off, not to mention the whole dtu street mishap. BUT IF they clean themselves up they'll be just as good as any other team. All they need to do is go back to the basics. And honestly, the basics aren't hard. All of you know that. Josh(that's Camarillo's coach right?), I could tell you didn't spend time with them on all of the basics or else they would have been clean and done justice to your choreography. You really need to set the foundation or your squads will always look messy. And to the teams/people who say Camarillo copied CI's stunt-I get where all of you are coming from. They almost did the same angle sequence as CI. BUT ITS JUST ANGLES. Anybody on a short flag squad can do that or at least I hope so. But Josh, my advice is to pick something else for the stunt so that way all of these people have nothing to say about Camarillo because that's all I'm hearing. Besides, it's just angles, pick something a little more creative. I've seen your other twirls that are trademark Camarillo so I'm sure you wont have trouble coming up with something new.
I really hope all of this shit talking about other teams stops. We are such a small community that we need to stop hating on each other. Sure, put your game faces on during comp season but you don't have to show poor sportsmanship. I'm sure all fo you saw that comment left that hated on short flags as a whole. That's who we should be fighting against. Not each other. But it seems like all of you are too immature to be graceful enough to stop hating on each other. If all of you put the energy into perfecting yourselves instead of hating on other teams then we'd have more than the "elite 6"

Honestly I think they've only been winning because other teams execution has been weaker then Bishop. The choreography and energy level from bishop sucked ass. At Nationals other teams brought amazing execution, showmanship, and choreography. That’s why they placed so low. They have been coasting on executing their simple routine.

You bitches need to leave that superior “fierce” attitude out of your routines and of the competition floor...Cuz it got old this year, and its why channel islands has replay value. all of the teams needa start focusing more on the CHOREOGRAPHY, rather than VISUALS... compare past performances, like the ones from 2004 and back, to the ones right now. HUGE difference. Before, it was all about how well-choreographed the routine was, and how clean it was. Now, it's all about how many flags you can juggle at once, crazy ass mounts, and FLOOReography. and some of the traditional twirls that teams had are slowly falling away. in addition to that, teams' twirls are not as in sync as before... take my word for it... EXECUTION IS BETTER THAN DIFFICULTY... and if you have both, you're already at an easy shot for nationals... go 2010-11 SEASON!! WORK...
Difficulty is something. If your routine is to easy then you don’t get enough points. bishop I’m sure faced this problem this year. They scraped by in the early rounds with an easy routine executed clean, but when it came to nationals after everyone got enough practice, they were left in the dust.
your choreography has to include a level of difficulty. true i think we should keep cartwheels out of short flags. and i think we need to lessen duck lips for some teams. but we're moving forward with the sport. all teams are displaying amazing innovation.

i personally do like the new elements that teams were bringing in the last couple of years... like 3-4 flags, crazy mounts, flag changes, cartwheels, and new intricate angles, but it's just wayyy to much... look at morse. their one flag had a lot of freehand choreography, and it was clean, but it was just sooooo repetitive... limit the number of special tricks you have up your sleeves guys!

definitely! i think everyone has to understand that since Narbonne has entered the arena, they have combined flag twirling and dancing into what pep flags is now.. Narbonne is a huge contender and will always be so..
narbonne almost didn’t place though :( to glendora even. and now that oxnard and san pedro (i'm assuming) are coming back. Where will narbonne even stand? its gonna be a rough year for some of us.
