Hi, I have a silly question. My name is Carol Besch and I was a cheerleader, song leader and pep flag twirler from age 7 through high school.

I have had this silly wish for at least 10 years to get a pair of flags to see how much I could remember as I feel I can still do it all in my head. My problem is that I can not justify spending that much money as I am a senior now and do not know if my bad shoulder would last very long...

My question is, might you know anywhere to get a pair of used 28" flags for me to play? I just turned 61 last week and this is the present I want for myself...

Thank you for your time and if you know anyone or anywhere to call I would be so grateful.

God bless you during this trying time.

Peace and blessings,

Hi Carol,
Did you ever have success in finding a place to buy a set or directions to make your own set of short flags?
Thank you,

Hello,

Last year I decided to reinstate colorguard/tall flags at the high school I teach here in the South Bay area. In the 90's, I attended SPHS and I was on tall flags all my years. This year, I'm interested introducing short flags to our school. My dilemma is not being able to find tutorials. I do remember learning a few moves when a few of my close friends were on shorties the same time I was on tall flags. During this pandemic, I wanted to be productive and use this time to learn, and perfect both flag teams. Much has changed since I was in high school ha-ha!

May I get some help with the following:

1. The proper names of the different moves for short flags. I only remember "windmills"

2. I will order a pair of 28" .. Is there a visual on how to tape flag/pole? If not, I'll seek on YouTube.

I thank you in advance,

I know this is a long shot, but I was wondering if you knew anyone interested in applying to be a shortflags coach for Bishop Montgomery High School. This season our coach left last summer and there is no plans for auditions until a coach is hired.
