Competition season is right around the corner and to kick it off this month we have the United Spirit Association's Southern California Holiday Classic. This competition will be this Saturday, December 11th in beautiful Anaheim, California at the Anaheim Convention Center, in the same arena where USA Nationals is held every year.

PARKING FEES: $12.00 PER CAR Parking may be paid by cash or credit card (VISA/MC). There are no in-out parking privileges. Parking locations will be at the discretion of the Anaheim Convention Center.
ADMISSION: Spectator wristbands may be purchased for $10.00 (13 and older) and $4.00 (6-12 years of age). Children 5 years of age and under enter free. Cash only – checks and credit cards are not accepted at this competition. You must have a hand-stamp for re-entry should you leave the venue after your first ticketed entry.
The next major competition isn't until January of "next year" so go out and support your favorite teams!

C.I. is usually at this comp. How come they are not on the line up? Do they have a team this year? They were down to three last year! Is short flags fading away???
The person above me IS right. Channel does usually go to this comp. The captain and the black girl were seniors last year, right? So that leaves just the one returning member? Do they even HAVE a team?! And what about all the other schools? Everyone had pretty small teams last year... I hope everyone did a lot of recruiting!
Channel has 8. They are all newbies except 2. Let's see how that will turn out! (:

i don't think you should neglect the other teams.. it is the beginning of comp season and you never know what they have to bring until you actually see everyone perform.
Channel didn't go to classics 0910 but they still had a team.
CI is going. They're not using their whole routine or their NEW HARDCORE mount either.

Good luck to all the teams competing tomorrow! It's early in the season, so bravo for those teams coming out and testing the waters. I have a feeling that all the teams at So Cal are going to be full of newbies, but that's what it's all about right? Giving them opportunities to get out there and perform. They get to experience what we love. See everyone tomorrow if you're going! =)

dont people walk around comps like they own the place supposed to? i mean, someone owns it, i know one of my friends owns the west torrance gym so she walks around like she owns it, because she does. i heard some girl from channel actually does own part of the convention center.

I thought that Hoover was going to win this one too. CI did not live up to the bar at all. It was definitely very sharp. Good job on that. But there were some parts where it was all jumbled up, couldn't tell what was going on. Maybe its the newbies. How many newbies are in Hoover?
Mark was never on short flags but he can twirl a mean ass flag so you guys need to stop I'm sure he will take you all out in a twirl battle //=

it's soo sad. the big girls look like they have so much trouble with the routine, especially getting up when they do ground tricks it's a shame :/ at least they make for good bases for their mount.. let's stop it at the source! stop childhood obesity!
Oxnards 2 flag looks like a revamped version of oxnard 2007. Ahah A for effort though. The black girl needs to use bishop montgomerys big girl from 2003 as inspiration!! She was a great twirler for her size! No disrespect but Joseph coming back to coach atleast gives oxnard a chance to finally compete again.
