Added quite a while ago, someone linked me to this piece performed by Hollywood High Drill Team. At 3:05 they begin a one flag piece with Temptations' "Sugar Pie Honey Bunch" similar to Channel Islands 2007 One Flag.
performing for the school and competing with a jacked routine parts is so not the same thing. who cares what they show to the schools..most schools like mine dont give a crap about their flag teams and they probably didnt want to waste time and energy for them.
yeaa my school doesnt care either..dont know anything except for how many drops there were.....and i'm thinking that routine was from their coach at the time..who became long beach poly's coach in 06 i think...so lets just focus on actual competition routines..
what do you mean it is not the same thing. you are still stealing a routine and playing it off as your own. Their high school probably doesn't care or know that there are other BETTER schools out there that originated such twirls and tricks, yet here you have a thief trying to take all the credit in the world for it because of the possibility that their originators might not find out. and, if "their" routine was choreographed from their former coach turned into Long Beach Poly's coach... shame on her! is that the same girl that is on USA staff???
I dont know if Arcadia truly "stole" choreography from Carson and Channel Islands, so I can't say anything about that debate...
but I can say that: 1.) Hollywood High should start a pep flag team. the more pep flag teams the merrier right? isnt that one of the reasons for this blogspot, to increase, spread, and amplify pep flag news, awareness, rumors, and altogether, pep flag SPIRIT?
2.) does anything think that its a bit TOO MUCH of a coincidence that these Hollywood high schoolers used a song from the 2007 National Champs one-flag routine, to their own one-flag choreo? Im not accusing anyone of "jacking" but I think this is an example of what happens when people manipulate precious YouTube performances.

i agree. but its somewhat embarassing to post it on youtube and then get caught. how about if you jack stuff for rallies... dont put it up on youtube?
how about maybe no one else on the team wanted that up there, except for the girl who had the video and posted it?
Well then she is on YOUR team. If she posts it for the whole world to see then tough luck. YOU should talk to her about it.
